Mike Whitty, 77, has lived at the Lafayette Place Mobile Home Park in Warren for more than 15 years. In his time there, he’s faced his fair share of difficulties with the management company. So, in an effort to combat those issues and to improve the quality of living throughout the neighborhood, Whitty launched Mr. Mike’s Neighborhood, a neighborhood association, in October 2022 to provide his neighbors with food, clothing, toys and other support. Sudden water bill spike leaves longtime tenant facing eviction

A Warren man said he could be evicted over a water bill that shot from about $40 to more than $580 in one month with no clear explanation. Albert Speier lives at Lafayette Place manufactured housing community. He said the community’s owner said a leak is to blame, but the owner never showed any proof a leak existed.
